The Duwamish River Community Coalition (DRCC) seeks three new board members to start serving terms by spring 2025. The DRCC works to elevate the voice of those impacted by the Duwamish River pollution and other environmental injustices to advocate for a clean, healthy and equitable environment for people and wildlife. The organization promotes placekeeping and prioritizes community capacity and empowerment.
The DRCC especially seeks applicants with legal and/or fundraising backgrounds with demonstrated lived, work and interest in any combination of the following areas:
Community representation (some connection to Georgetown/South Park area);
Self identifies as Black, Indigenous, Person of Color (BIPOC);
Proficient in racial and environmental and social justice principles and values;
Legal Expertise; (environmental or non-profit expertise)
Accounting/finance;
Development and/or fundraising;
Marketing and communications;
Additional commitment to Seattle’s only river and the Duwamish River Valley community.
